Scott Wiseman, also known as Coach Bill or Whitewater Willie, proudly coaches the Cañon City High School mountain biking team. The CCHS MTB team is still in its infancy and has a lot of needs, including greater awareness and better gear. Coach Bill is hoping to solve both of these issues by using his racing career to promote the team.
“I will be racing in the Legendary 2023 Leadville 100 Mountain Bike Race this August,” Bill wrote on GoFundMe. “The proceeds will be used for any gear and equipment, repairs, travel expenses, etc. for the Team. Once the race is complete I’ll hand over one of those big corny checks to the Team!”
Bill started a GoFundMe where anyone can donate to the CCHS team in recognition of his upcoming race. In just one day he’s raised $650 towards his $1,000 goal.
