A total of six crews were called to the scene with officers from Suffolk police also called for road traffic management.
A spokesman for Suffolk police said a closure is in place on Rectory Lane after smoke was blowing across the road.
In the early stage of the incident, local residents were asked to keep doors and windows closed due to smoke.
The spokesman added: “Crews worked hard to get the fire contained and quickly made good progress.
“At around 5:30am the incident was scaled down, with three appliances remaining on scene to damp down and extinguish hotspots.”
Speaking at the scene a fire officer for Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service said: “It is to early to say at the moment what caused the blaze.
“We will be working alongside the police and there is plenty of dampening down to do and their will be appliances here for the remainder of the day.
“We will be investigating the incident.”
