The Duchess of Sussex’s re-entry into the world of acting “seems likely”, according to a PR expert, who believes Netflix is pushing her to keep Meghan.
In an interview with the Director of Media PR Global, Kieran Elsby, she told The Mirror her theory as to why Suits has re-gained traction on the top 10 most streamed charts after not being aired for four years.
“I do wonder if the top spot is genuinely determined by viewership metrics at all. Or it is essential for Meghan to remain relevant to Netflix, hence the unaudited top spot. After all they have invested heavily,” Elsby said.
Elsby has questioned the ethics, criteria, and accuracy of Netflix‘s streaming figures after YouGov poll released a poll stating that Suits was the 351st most popular television show – making it hard to believe that Suits would make a top 10 list years after production ceased.
“It’s apparent turnaround on Netflix is extraordinary, to say the least,” the PR mogul stated.

Markle’s hit series Suits reclaiming the spotlight comes after her lucrative $100M Netflix deal alongside Prince Harry.
The power couple recently launched their groundbreaking series Harry & Meghan, with more projects, including The Heart of Invictus, in the pipeline.
The publicist pointed out that the idea of internally skyrocketing Suits to a top 10 spot would be a logical move for both the streaming company and Markle to “strive for the top position, given their mutual investment.”

The Former Suits star, who portrayed Rachel Zane from 2011 to 2018, left the show after her engagement to Prince Harry – with fans eagerly waiting for her next on-screen appearance.
“Her acting career was overshadowed by her royal status, and her decision to step away from acting marked a significant turning point in her life. Yet, the appeal of returning to a familiar territory could be influential,” Elsby speculated.
Elsby claims that if the couple sticks together they could find a steady revenue stream from the Dutchess’ acting.
