Technology Minerals: A battery metals play with a green twist that has significant early revenue and profit potential
Published: 07:20 19 Sep 2023
Sadie Wigglesworth has worked for Aston Martin Racing and motorsport teams in World Rally and F1
Technology Minerals PLC (LSE:TM1)‘s’ battery recycling associate Recyclus has appointed motorsport marketing veteran Sadie Wigglesworth as a consultant advising on sales strategy.
Wigglesworth has three decades of experience working at a senior strategic level in the automotive sector, Technology Minerals said, including as commercial director for Aston Martin Racing and in senior marketing roles for motorsport teams ranging from World Rally to Formula One (F1).
Wigglesworth, who in 2013 founded the Hatfits brand partnership consultancy, will work with Recyclus on UK sales strategies as its first lithium-ion recycling plant (in Wolverhampton) ramps up.
Robin Brundle, chairman of Technology Minerals and director of Recyclus, said: “Her [Wigglesworth’s] expertise will help Recyclus boost visibility, grow existing partnerships and attract new ones.”
Wigglesworth added: “Safe lithium-ion battery disposal is something that is in its infancy here in the UK, which needs to accelerate, and fast.
“The number of industries touched by this problem is staggering and Recyclus’ ability to extract ‘black mass’ and electrolytes from retired and redundant batteries will make a sizable contribution to the production of new batteries.”
Technology Minerals owns 48.25% of Recyclus.
